About the Brand

LaShalo Beauté was created by a woman who's past did not have much meaning when it came to beauty. Growing up, Laura was bullied everyday and was reminded constantly that beauty was a feature she did not have. Years of trying to figure out who she was and who she wanted to be became a journey that ultimately led her to create her brand and spread the knowledge of self worth.

After starting a YouTube channel, ItsEvaEgo, she realized that society had a misconception about having an ego and what it stood for. Society's standards have deemed having an ego as something negative when in fact having an ego is simply your level of self-esteem.

While many people believe having an ego is cocky and self absorbing, it is the lack there of that triggers self doubt and fear. This results in sabotaging yourself into walking away from everything that will ultimately bring you happiness. Because of this, Laura encourages everyone to have an ego. 

In the words of Marianne Williamson, "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure."
